Take a look at Globalization from a different perspective. This intriguing topic deals with the idea that the rise of processes and ideologies stemming from Globalization are impacting something as delicate and traditionally deeply rooted to a nation: its culture. The core question addressed within the forum will be: Is Homogenization of Cultures occurring? We will discuss the role that Western powers play on culture and explore if we are all moving towards one “Global” Culture. The forum will attend to what the effects to people’s attitudes, social norms and cultural identity are when integration of different cultures occurs. These effects rise from transferring certain aspects from one culture to another (e.g., popular media), borrowing from other cultures or how one culture is directly imposed onto another.
