The Peasants Bible Evening
The Peasant's Bible is one of the most recent creations of Dario Fo, the Nobel Prize-winning Marxist who is widely considered one of the world's greatest living playwrights. An experimental comedy of language, it interweaves five fragments of well-known legend firmly rooted in Italian folklore, redefining them for the modern audience in a way that only Fo could, and represents all that makes contemporary European theatre great.
